Downloads are routed through the account area so the installer is tied to the right user, active access, and device. After installing, sign in from Settings and start speaking instead of typing.

If you do not have an active subscription, the account area will show your current access state and the available plans. Transcription requires an active account, internet connection, and approved device.

VoiceBar downloads are routed through the account area. This helps ensure that the installation is connected to the right user, active access, and approved device.

Sign in and download

Before Download

  • A Windows computer is required.
  • A VoiceBar account is required.
  • New users can sign in and download the app from the account area.
  • Transcription requires a connected account and an active subscription or active entitlement.
  • An active internet connection is required.
  • A working microphone is required.

If you do not yet have an active subscription, the account area will show your current access state and the available plans. Registered users can start with the access available to them and upgrade from the same area when needed.

Installation

  1. Sign in to the account area.
  2. Download the official installer.
  3. Run the installer.
  4. Keep an internet connection active during first-time installation.
  5. Open VoiceBar.
  6. Sign in from Settings.
  7. Approve the device if asked.
  8. Start speaking instead of typing.

After Installation

VoiceBar runs in the background and appears when activated. During normal use, audio is processed to return text. Transcript history and correction learning, when enabled, are stored locally on the user's computer and are not sent to our servers as part of history or learning.

If the usage allowance is close to ending or has been fully used, VoiceBar will show usage as a percentage, a reset date where applicable, and an upgrade option when a higher plan is available.
